We are on our way.
I am currently in a car on the way to DTW, a place that I love to be at. I'm sitting next to my absolute best friend in the whole world and my "mission trip parents :)" and we are headed to get on a plane with 5 of my other family members. I also have successfully already eaten 3 breakfast burritos so, that's cool.
My heart cannot contain the excitement that is building up to be back in the place that my day dreams live and my heart resides!! I'm sitting in the car trying to remember how great it feels to be home and I can't fully remember. I remember the smells, the views, the big idea but I feel like so often I let the little things slip away from me. So as I concentrate on remembering the little things like what it feels like to hug my girls and laugh really hard with them I am so reminded of Jesus's love for me. HOW FREAKING COOL is it that I even have something to remember?! I am constantly floored with the realization of this blessed life I live but when I think about Guatemala I am even more in awe. I'm only 18 and I have travelled to two third world countries, soon to be three, met so many people who have stolen my heart and been able to go back. Jesus is good.
I can't wait to not only just remember how it feels to give squeezes to the little girl who stole my heart two years ago and take naps with the one that we love to tease and call "Cecilo" rather than Cecila. I'm so excited to laugh with my "Guatemalan best friend" Iris about boys and drink all the coffee in the world.
If I could sum up my life in one word it would be Blessed.
I'm so excited to be a blessing to others this week.
Let's all hold our breakfast burritos up and cheers to a new adventure.
I AM SO FLIPPING STOKED.
