Love.

***Late Post***
I got back from Guatemala a week and one day ago now and if I told you that Jesus hasn't worked in my heart then I would be telling a huge lie. The week I spent in Guatemala was absolutely wonderful.  I got to spend time with the people who have stolen my heart and I now call my family. I got to finally hug the kids that I day dream of all day, laugh with one of my greatest friends Iris and talk with the missionaries who are some of the people I look up to the most. Just being in the presence of these people brings great joy to my life. There are so many things that God is doing in that place and it is such a privilege to be able to see those things first hand rather than just through stories. This year I got to meet a few new kids and give a little more of my heart away. I got to cuddle with some of my favorite girls who are now getting to be teenagers and it is so scary. Sometimes I look at these little girls as sisters and it gets just about as scary as watching my baby sister grow up as well. I got to hold my baby, Alejandra and give her lots of kisses even though she was not feeling that well. These things all remind me that God is good. It's so odd that things as simple as those are the very reminders for me but they are. It reminds me that God has huge plans not just for my life but for every single person there. They are placed there for such a time as this and that fact is so cool to me. There are two things that God is really doing there in CANICA outwardly that are so cool as well!
1. The church announced Sunday that they felt it on their hearts to start fundraising for a bus to give to CANICA! That is so exciting and such a blessing. The kids have always walked back and forth to school through one of the busiest streets there in San Marcos and it just isn't suitable for them. The bus is expected to be purchased by December!! So exciting! I can't wait to see the beauty once I get there in January.
2. Edy's House is a house they are building for the kids older than 13 or 14 (I can't quite remember which one). There is a law in Guatemala that states that once a child hits 13 or 14 they can no longer live in the same house as the younger children. So this house has been in the works for about a year now. They are still fundraising but each time they get money, they work. By faith and God-willing the house will be done before the kids become of age. It's so exciting to see the growth though, from last year seeing just a foundation to this year seeing walls being erected and lots of concrete is just so exciting.
I am so excited to see what God does in the coming years for that place.
I am so so excited to be there in January.
God is good!
